Taking Holidays During School Time
Your child has a right to a full education at Werneth Primary School and research strongly indicates that absence from school has a detrimental effect on a pupil’s academic attainment.
- There are 175 days (weekends and school holidays) available to use for appointments and holidays
- There are 190 school days in one year which your child needs to attend
- The school will not authorise any holidays during term time and unauthorised absences of 5 days or more will be referred to the Local Authority for a Penalty Notice.
