  Ashley is currently Vice Principal at The Hathershaw College and has worked there as a Senior Leader for over 15 years. He previously led a variety of areas such as SEND, pastoral care (behaviour, attendance, rewards, student voice), safeguarding and student wellbeing as senior mental health lead practitioner.

  As Vice Principal, he currently provides leadership of achievement and standards across the College, leading their strategic approach towards Literacy, Pupil Premium, Digital Strategy, CEIAG (Careers Education, Information and Guidance), and Parental Engagement.

  Ashley is proud to continue teaching Geography and to encourage students to gain an understanding and appreciation of both the human and physical world around them.

  Ashley feels privileged to be serving as Chair of Governors at Werneth Primary School.

  Jackie previously worked at Werneth Primary School for nearly 40 years and served as a Governor for over 15 years. She is proud to be part of this wonderful community and feels privileged to have worked with and supported many families over the years. Most of her time at Werneth was spent working in Early Years, an area which remains a passion for her. She has trained as an Early Language Lead Practitioner and a REAL practitioner. Jackie was formerly Assistant SENDCO and Deputy Safeguarding Lead. She is a trained Trauma Informed Mental Health Practitioner and a Youth Mental Health First Aider. She is also the proud mum to two sons who were both former pupils at Werneth Primary School and OSFC .

  Rhea currently works with the University of Manchester on the Future Leaders Graduate Programme and is gaining invaluable practical knowledge within the domain of Higher Education.
  She holds an MSc in Organisational Psychology and a PGCert in Higher Education. She currently works in Special Corporate Projects in the university's Finance department and has previously held positions in Strategic Change and as an Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) coordinator.

  
  She is passionate and eager to contribute to Werneth Primary school, leveraging her expertise to support the school's mission and enhance the educational experience for all students.

  Jamilla is Oldham born and bred, and Werneth Primary is where her own education began. Having previously served the school as a local authority governor, she is delighted to return to the governing body and to contribute to a school that shaped her and that continues to serve the community in which she lives.
  
  
  Jamilla holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Liverpool, and is a Barrister by profession, having practised in immigration and asylum law and youth crime. She subsequently moved into health and social care, where she has worked at senior executive level for more than two decades. Jamila is currently Operations Director for an Ofsted registered children's residential care provider, with strategic responsibility for services supporting looked after young people aged 7–16.
  
  
  Jamilla is a nominated safeguarding officer and, alongside governance, brings expertise in quality assurance, regulatory compliance and inspection readiness, financial oversight and budget management, workforce development, and multi-agency partnership working.
  
  
  Beyond her professional life, Jamilla volunteers weekly with local homeless charities, raises funds for supporting female university scholarship programmes, has set up and actively manages a sports programme including horse riding, archery, BJJ and swimming for primary aged children who would not ordinarily access such provision and she mentors disaffected and marginalised young people across the borough.
  
  
  Jamilla feels it is a privilege to serve and give something back to her own school and her own community.

  Raqeebis currently Head of Year 9 and 10 at TheBrian Clarke CofE Academyand has worked there for the lastthree years.He has a wealth of experience inpastoraland safeguarding with a focus onleading behaviour and attendance systems.

  Prior to this he has experience as Head of Social Sciences, Pupil Premium Engagement Co-ordinator and most recently Head of Religious Studies.

  Raqeeb teaches RS and Sociology. He also holds a governance position at a secondary school in Manchester.

  Raqeeb feels privileged to be serving as a governor at Werneth Primary School.
