We strongly believe that school uniform gives our pupils a sense of identity and of belonging to the academy. It helps to ensure that no student feels disadvantaged in terms of appearance, removes the need to keep up with constantly changing and expensive fashion trends, and instils a sense of pride.
COVID-19 Update
On the days where children have PE, they will be asked to come to school in their PE kit. This will reduce the number of items brought into school and ensure that pupils do not take the wrong clothing home by mistake. Please note that children may be outside for break times and PE sessions so please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately, e.g. tracksuit bottoms over their shorts and a plain black jumper or hoodie over their t-shirt.

Frequently Asked Questions
- When was the new school uniform introduced?
Our new uniform will be compulsory for all new pupils from 4th September 2014. - Is the uniform washable?
Yes the uniform is fully machine washable at 40 degrees. - Can the jacket be tumble dried?
Unfortunately the jacket cannot be tumble dried, but once washed it dries very quickly on a hanger. - I have a boy and a girl in school but the jackets are gender specific – is there one jacket that I can buy that I can pass down the family?
At primary age there is little difference in the cut of the boy’s Saville Jacket and the girl’s Colchester jacket. If you want to pass the jacket down through the family we would advise buying the boy’s Saville jacket.
